Book Sale was a Success

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported our annual book sale on June 1. It was a roaring success with many people walking away with treasured finds in exchange for much appreciated funds for the library. All our leftovers will be going to a good home at Better World Books. Thank you to all the volunteers, including the Leos group, who helped with the set up and tear down.

Introduction to Post-Secondary Libraries

Are you or a family member heading off to a university, college, tech school, or other post-secondary school this fall? Do you want to know about what that school’s library will be able to do for you?

  • If you want more information about the workshops we are planning for mid- to late- August, visit here or fill out the form to be notified. Encourage your friends and family to register, too! More people from the same institution means it is more likely that that your school will get its own workshop!

New Telescope!

Our bright and shiny new telescope is now ready to be taken out in its new padded, easy to transport carrier. No more lugging a cumbersome plastic bin around! Fortunately for us, according to the experts our summer night sky is more interesting than our winter skies. If you are willing to stay up until it gets dark, you will be in for a treat.

  • 7 day loan period for Sheep River Library members.
  • We have many astronomy books in our collection
  • More information on the telescope and other equipment you can borrow
