Heading out to university, college, or another post-secondary school this fall?
Do you want to know about what that school’s library will be able to do for you? Want to get advanced knowledge about makerspaces, bookable study rooms, or how to contact a librarian who knows all about finding all the books, magazines, journals articles, and high-quality online information for your assignments?
If you are worried or intimidated by any of these things, you are not alone. This is such a common feeling that librarians have done in depth research into what we call "library anxiety."
The Sheep River Library is happy to help you take the first steps in learning about what your university, college, or other post-secondary library offers.
Fill out this form to be notified of workshops showing you the basics of your university, college, or technical school’s library.
- The workshops will cover one or more post-secondary library, depending on how many people attending each institution sign up. If you know friends going to the same place as you, encourage them to sign up, too!
- We plan to run these workshop(s) in mid- to late-August
- You should hear back from us about dates and times at least a few weeks before the start of your classes
