Deanna Lavoie - Celebrate the Wisdom of the Wild SpacesBorn and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan, making art was a large part of Deanna’s life for as long as she can remember. She graduated in 1994 with distinction from the Alberta College of Art & Design (ACAD), in Calgary, where she majored in printmaking. In 2002, she achieved her Bachelor of Fine Arts from ACAD. Deanna's artwork has been included in exhibitions and collections in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. In 2013, she was a finalist in the prestigious Gallipoli Memorial Art Awards in Sydney, Australia. In 2015, her acrylic on canvas, That Time of Day was a finalist at the Calgary Stampede Western Art Auction. In 2015, emboldened as an artist to do more than wear a poppy, she completed a life-size painting, The Journey to Remembrance, commemorating the First World War. This personal expression of remembrance is currently on loan to The Military Museums of Calgary. Her fascination for exploration also led to traveling with extended residence in both Australia and New Zealand. Deanna now resides with her family in Longview, Alberta. |

About Angela LorenzenAngela Lorenzen has been showing and selling her paintings as a professional artist since 1993 and has painted full-time since 2009. She is a self-taught artist with an academic and professional background in the biological sciences. The subjects of her high-realism acrylic paintings range from Canadian landscapes and animals to still life and architecture. Angela’s paintings have been exhibited at a number of art shows and sold both privately and in commercial galleries. The combination of a high realism style with a sensitivity for the spirit of a subject has resulted in Angela's distinctive painting style. Travel and photography are the essential first steps in Angela's creative process; travel allows her the experience of “being there” and photography provides a reference and record of detail. Depth, luminosity and sharp focus are achieved by slowly building up thin semi-transparent layers of paint until a hyper-realistic effect is achieved. About Vivian WiebeVivian Wiebe is an educator and artist living in Diamond Valley, Alberta, with her husband Dave. She has two married children and four grandchildren. Her children have been, and continue to be, a great blessing and source of inspiration to her. Vivian has always had a desire to pursue her creative side. She began with her study of music early on, and as the years progressed, she became skilled in the making of porcelain dolls. Then after a number of years, Vivian began to study art, with a special interest in painting. She works toward a goal of artistic excellence without excluding experimentation and personal expression. Vivian has become skillful and innovative in her use of techniques and styles. Her paintings demonstrate an attraction to colour, pattern and form.
